Stephen Quinn

​

Stephen is an independent performer, producer and performance maker. He graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama), and with a Masters of Creative Industries (Creative Production and Arts Management) in 2012.

In his production roles, Stephen has worked with Circa Ensemble, Queensland Theatre Company, Switchboard Arts, Festival of Australian Student Theatre and Phluxus2 Dance Collective.

As a performer Stephen has worked with many independent theatre artists, performing in The Judith Wright Centre’sFRESH GROUND Program, La Boite’s Scratch Program, Metro Arts FreeRange Program, Metro Arts Awkward Conversations, and Anywhere Theatre Festival. Stephen began working with The Danger Ensemble in 2013, performing in Sons of Sin (2013), assistant directing The Wizard of Oz (2013) and performing and associate directing Caligula (2014).

As a performance maker Stephen is interested in heightened visual story telling; for the last few years he has been experimenting with the fusion of theatrical performance, and digital and visual installation. He has created works for Brisbane Emerging Arts Festival (2013) and 2High Festival (2015).
